Today is the 28th anniversary of the day Elvis Presley died. I can still remember how devastated I was when I heard that the King was gone. But his memory lives on in his music, his legend, and the many Elvis impersonators and tribute artists, including yours truly.
So to you, Elvis, we say:
"Thank you, thank you very much!"

He died on my Dad's birthday. Incidientally, he was scheduled to perform a concert in Portland, Maine when he died. I used to live in Portland, Maine.
